P's Official Birthday

It was P's birthday this weekend, so even though he had his party last month at our place with his friends, this weekend we celebrated him turning 14 - officially! We let the kids choose what they want for dinner on their birthdays, so P asked for salmon and shrimp. The kid has expensive taste, but anything goes on your birthday, so we had a seafood feast for dinner. C has a great way of making salmon, I have no idea what spices he uses or how he does it, but it comes out soooo good. I think I may request salmon on my birthday too...

We had C's mom over for the day on Sunday. We all went to the pool together (I LOVE being able to walk to the community pool from our house - especially on days when it's 90+ degrees outside. Sometimes we just walk over and stay for 20 minutes! It's just great being able to cool off so easily!). The kids all decided they wanted to learn how to dive, so we spent an hour teaching them, and I am so proud to say that HAP can now do perfect little dives! Then we all went home for our seafood dinner.

In the evening the girls went home to their mom's house, and then C and I took P to see the new Batman movie - which was so good. All and all a nice weekend, happy 14th P!
